Seward

The City of Seward is located on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula at the head of Resurrection Bay. Founded in 1903 as the ocean terminus of what is now the Alaska Railroad. Seward is Alaska's only deep-water, ice-free port with rail, highway, and air transportation. A progressive community that enjoys a beautiful and scenic environment with numerous visitor attractions, Seward is home to approximately 2,600 residents.

“...when you’ve lived in Alaska, living in other places seems easier, less challenging, less threatening. No one is ever the same after coming back from Alaska.”
— Peter Jenkins, Author, Looking for Alaska
